FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
16” around (stretches to fit sizes)
7” tall with 3” folded brim
10” tall unfolded brim

YARN
The Petite Wool (100% petite wool)
142 yards per 100 grams
1 skein in color Ochre

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 10 (6MM) 16” circular needles
US 10 (6MM) double-pointed needles
Tapestry needles, marker, measuring tape

GAUGE
4” | 10 CM = 12 stitches
4” | 10 CM = 16 rows

NOTES
This hat is worked from the bottom up and switched to double-pointed needles when decreasing.

DIRECTIONS
CAST ON
With circular needles, CO 72 sts. Join, taking care not to twist sts, and pm for
EOR.

HAT
Round 1: K2, P2 – repeat ribbing until work measures 9”.

DECREASING
*NOTE* Switch to double-pointed needles when your round gets too tight for circular needles.

K7, K2TOG. Repeat from * around. 64 sts left.
K6, K2TOG. Repeat from * around. 56 sts left.
K5, K2TOG. Repeat from * around. 48 sts left.
K4, K2TOG. Repeat from * around. 40 sts left.
K3, K2TOG. Repeat from * around. 32 sts left.
K2, K2TOG. Repeat from * around. 24 sts left.

FINISHING
Cut yarn, leave a long tail to thread through your tapestry needle, weave through live stitches, and
sinch your work. Weave in your ends to secure and cut. Weave in any remaining ends.
